Leeds Digital Festival is the biggest thing in the city's tech calendar and we have photographed it across the last five years. In 2025 that was nineteen separate events across ten days: the launch at Nexus, University of Leeds; panels at PEXA and hedgehog lab; HSBC and BDO's economic outlook breakfast; Lloyds Banking Group's ReBoot hackathon; an evening with Audacia; sessions with Accenture, Skipton Group, Slalom, Leeds Beckett, Leeds Trinity, Axiologik, Enablis and Planet Sport.
The brief each year is the same: a consistent set of images the festival and its partners can use across the programme, delivered while the festival is still running. Every host organisation gets its own gallery. In 2021 that included the awards night at Belgrave — evening light, a stage, and a lot of people who wanted their photo taken with a trophy.
For 2026 (21 September – 2 October) we have proposed coverage of up to sixteen events plus a sponsor headshot corner. If you are hosting an LDF event and want it covered, that is the easiest route in.
The festival runs 21 September to 2 October. If you're hosting a session and want it covered, the earlier we see your slot in the programme the easier it is to build a route around the day — in 2025 we moved between nineteen events in ten days. Half-day coverage is £450, a full day £750, and a sponsor headshot corner can run alongside it. Send us your date and venue and we'll quote the same day.
Before the corporate work there was the press work. At Leeds Festival 2017 we shot Major Lazer, Charli XCX, HAIM, Declan McKenna, Pale Waves and Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes for iLikePress, with Welcome to Leeds and LeedsBID. We have also photographed Strictly Come Dancing Live at First Direct Arena and Grimes for editorial.
We don't lead with this work because the people booking us now are booking conferences, not gigs — but it is why we are comfortable in a dark room with a fast-moving stage and no second chances. That experience carries straight over to awards nights and evening receptions.

Evening events are where a second photographer earns their keep: one camera locked on the stage for every handover, one working the room. Dark venues, moving subjects and no second chances are the conditions we learned in — and the same approach covers drinks receptions, dance floors and team portraits on the way in. Tell us the running order and we'll say how many crew it needs.
Send us the date, venue and running order and we'll come back with a quote the same day. Half-day team coverage from £450, full day £750; larger crews and video quoted per event.
Most event clients also use us for headshots in Leeds before the event, and some shoot their speaker interviews or podcast episodes at our content creation studio on Dock Street. If you need a room for a pre-event briefing or a sponsor shoot, the same space is available for studio hire. For product or campaign work around a launch, see our commercial photography page.

Conferences, panels and keynotes, awards nights, product and venue launches, corporate away days and staff conferences, hackathons and workshops, networking events and press events. Leeds Digital Festival, the AAB Aabie Ball and Pivot Academy's staff conference are typical of the work.
For a conference or awards night, four to six weeks is comfortable. September and October are our busiest months because of Leeds Digital Festival, so book those early. Short notice is often possible for half-day jobs — ask.
As a private online gallery of edited high-resolution JPEGs, downloadable in full-size and web-size versions, with usage rights for your marketing, internal comms and press.
Team coverage is £450 for a half day and £750 for a full day. Larger crews, a second photographer, video or a delegate headshot corner are quoted per event once we've seen the running order. Send the date, venue and schedule and we'll quote the same day.
Yes. We shoot tethered into Capture One Live so your team can pull picks while the event is running, and we can send a same-day selection for LinkedIn or press. The full edited gallery follows within three working days.
Yes — a headshot corner is our most-requested add-on. A lit set in a side room or foyer, roughly two minutes per person, 25–30 people an hour with one photographer, delivered the same week. See our headshot photographer page for the studio equivalent.
Yes. We regularly run a photographer and a videographer together — for the Pivot Academy conference that includes a locked-off speaker camera, a roaming second camera and a podcast set, with 16:9 and 9:16 edits.
Yes — regularly across West and North Yorkshire (Wakefield, Bradford, Harrogate, York) and further afield by arrangement. Travel outside Leeds and Wakefield is charged at cost.
Yes, and we'll build one with you if you don't have one: speakers, sponsors and their branding, the room from the back, networking, awards handovers, group photos. We follow the schedule and shoot around it rather than staging moments.
One photographer covers a half-day conference or a single-room event comfortably. Add a second for awards nights (one camera on the stage, one on the room), multi-track conferences, or anything where a headshot corner runs alongside the main event.
Every delivered image is selected and edited — exposure, colour, crop and clean-up. We don't send unedited dumps. Additional retouching (for example for speaker portraits) is available on request.
You get a licence to use the images for your own marketing, internal communications, press and social media without time limit. Third-party commercial resale and use by sponsors in their own advertising are agreed separately.
Yes. At Leeds Digital Festival 2025 we covered nineteen separate events across ten days, from 22 September to 2 October, with each host organisation getting its own gallery. Multi-day work is planned around the running order in advance so the right sessions get the right crew.
The date, the venue, the running order and a named contact on site. From that we build a shot list with you and agree where we need to be for the keynote, the awards handovers and the group photographs.
Yes, and it's usually on the shot list. Sponsor banners, branded stands and logo placement in the room are covered deliberately rather than left to chance, because those are the frames sponsors ask for afterwards.
Send the date, venue and running order and we'll come back with a quote the same day. Half-day team coverage is £450 and a full day is £750; larger crews, video and a delegate headshot corner are quoted per event.
