Professional headshots in Leeds typically cost between £75 and £300 in 2026, depending on session length, retouching and how the photographer packages things up. At Dock Street Studio, our central Leeds studio, headshot sessions run from £95 to £200, with prices published up front and no sitting-fee surprises.
That's the short answer. Here's the longer one, so you know exactly what you're paying for before you book anyone — us included.
What affects the price of a headshot session?
Four things move the needle more than anything else:
Session length. A 15-minute express session costs less than 90 minutes of proper portrait work, for obvious reasons. Longer sessions give you more outfit changes, more lighting setups and more frames to choose from.
Retouching. Most photographers include a set number of retouched images and charge for extras. Check whether "retouched" means proper skin and detail work or just a filter — there's a big difference.
Studio vs on-location. A photographer with their own studio doesn't need to pass on hire costs. If they're renting a space for your shoot, that usually shows up in the price.
Experience. You're paying for the person directing you as much as the camera. Getting a natural expression out of someone who hates having their photo taken is a skill that takes years to build — we've had 18+ of them.

Corporate and team headshots
Booking headshots for a whole team works differently — pricing depends on headcount and whether we shoot at our studio on Dock Street or come to your office. Get in touch with numbers and we'll quote you properly.
Is a cheap headshot ever worth it?
Sometimes. If you just need a passable photo for an internal system, a £40 quick-snap does a job. But your headshot is usually the first photo a client, casting director or employer sees of you — and it does its work before you've said a word. Paying for good lighting, honest retouching and a photographer who can direct you tends to be one of the cheaper career investments you can make.
